# TikTok New Item Sync

## To outline the process of syncing new products to TikTok from Skupreme, including requirements, behavior based on TikTok API responses, and the steps needed to activate listings.

### **Requirements for Product Listing on TikTok**

To list a product on TikTok, the following fields must be completed **in Skupreme**:

- **Product Images**

- **Product Descriptions**

### **Sync Behavior Based on TikTok API Response**

1. **Category Matching:**
   - When syncing a product, Skupreme sends a request to TikTok’s API to fetch category suggestions based on product details.

- If TikTok API returns a **valid category with all required attributes**, the product will be listed under the suggested category.
2. **Invalid or Incomplete Category Response:**
   - If the TikTok API returns an **unmatched category** or **misses required attributes**, the product will be assigned to a **default category**.

- This product will be marked as **inactive** in TikTok.

### **Action Required by User**

- **Update Product Category in TikTok Seller Center:**
  - For any product created under a **default category**, the user must **manually update the category** in their **TikTok store** (Seller Center).

- Once the category is updated to meet TikTok’s requirements, the product will become **active**.

### **Important Notes**

- Completing the **required fields** (images and description) on **Skupreme** is mandatory to begin the sync process.

- Skupreme handles the initial sync and listing creation, but **activation of listings** on TikTok depends on proper category mapping, either automatically or manually corrected by the user.

### **Summary Workflow**

1. Complete product info in **Skupreme** (images + description).
2. Product is synced to **TikTok** via API.
3. If TikTok returns:
   - ✅ Valid category → Product listed and active.
   - ❌ Invalid/missing category → Product listed under **default category** → **Inactive**.
4. User must go to **TikTok Seller Center** to:
   - Update the product category.
   - Activate the listing.
